Chamber News – March 2026
Financial Report: Kylie gave updates on financials. Request on venmo for the Chamber was discussed and approved. Motion Lacey. Second Amy Noll to move forward with setting up a venmo for the Chamber.
Kylie and Amy Noll will work on communications.
Shanes Crossing Historical Society donation — Motion Kylie. Second David to approve $5,000 toward the new building project – (Concrete). Was asked if the Historical Society would open the log cabin during Spring Fling. Would also suggest they work on a fundraiser that the community could support too.
Spring Fling Sponsorships – Rockford Eagles – $500, other potentials Divine Rehab, Ohio Health, and maybe Western Southern.
Twyla Hayes – gave introduction to the Rockford Branding. Lots of discussion and feedback. Chamber would like to have a meeting with Chamber and Council. ‘What does Rockford mean or stand out for” .
Discussed planters at the 4-way stop – Twyla volunteered to take care of them. Will get a quote.

Vendor Market — up to 26
Train Rides — route to the park ? Will finalize at next meeting and question on the cancellation fee and timing in case we are having bad weather?
Car Show – Market St. – flyer done, registration cards, dash plaques ordered
Approved to block off Main Street parking — 8 am – wondering if it should be earlier ? Will the Pancake guests use Main Street before we can get blocked off ?
Petting Zoo — Belton’s Cattles / donkey
Mark’s Ark —- will be held at the library need to set time — can Chamber co-sponsor this to help with costs?
Balloon artist will be coming
Second Crossing – music at 1 pm
Eagles having a paint and sip at 1 pm.
Food / drinks – Pancake day until 1 pm —- Wellness 365 , Rockford Eagles, Grains of Love, Tastee Twirl Rockford, Rockford RoadDog, Fork in the Road, Tom’s Drinks —
Working on attendance prize baskets – donations are being accepted !
Henkle Insurance will be sponsoring a fundraiser for the McDonough Family — Chamber can help support this cause — $$ to be determined.
Chamber Board will meet again on Thursday – March 26th to finalize all things SPRING FLING at the
Village office at 8:30 am.
