Meeting Minutes: January 21, 2014

RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS:

Council called to order by Mayor Amy Joseph on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Rockford Village Hall.

Invocation was given by Gene Steiner

Pledge of Allegiance

Those present: Gehle, Steiner, Fox, Dooley    Pontsler and Heitkamp absent

Also attending:  Chief May, and  Amy K from the Daily Standard.

Mayor Joseph to swear in new / returning council members:

John Dooley, Steve Gehle and Gene Steiner.

Congratulations.

Motion Gehle to appoint Gene Steiner as President of Council.  Second Dooley, Fox called for the question.  Gehle =y, Dooley = y, Fox = y, Steiner = y.
Passed 4 yes.
Steiner accepted the position and thanked everyone.

Motion Steiner.  Second Gehle to accept the agenda as orders of the day. Fox  called for the question.   Steiner = y, Gehle = y, Fox = y, Dooley = y.  Passed 4 yes.

Motion: Gehle.   Second Fox to accept the minutes from the December 17 , 2013  council meetings as presented.  Steiner called for the question.  Gehle = y, Fox = y, Steiner = y, Dooley = y.  Passed 4 yes.

Motion Gehle to pay the bills in the amount of $5,206.11 . Second Dooley,  . Fox called for the question.  Gehle = y, Dooley = y, Fox = y, Steiner = y.  Passed 4 yes.

Motion Gehle to accept the Mayors Court pay in in the amount of $314.00.

Second Fox.  Dooley called for the question.  Gehle = y, Fox = y, Dooley = y, Steiner = y.  Passed 4 yes.

Resolution 01-14

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN A NOTE WITH THE PEOPLES HOLDING COMPANY, INC. FOR THE PARKWAY UTILITY PROJECT AND THE FRONT STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.

Motion Gehle.  Second Steiner.  Fox called for the question.  Gehle = y, Steiner = y, Fox = y, Dooley = y.  Passed 4 yes.

•  Lisa to get copies of the employee handbook to new members.

All Council members and employees are to come to the village office on

February 4^th at 7 pm.  We will be taking pictures for the new web site and getting our village badges up to date.
