Meeting Minutes: March 19, 2013

RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS:

Council called to order by Mayor Amy Joseph on
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 7:30 pm at the Rockford Village Hall.

Invocation was given.

Pledge of Allegiance

Those present: Gehle, Pontsler, Searight, Heitkamp
Steiner and  Blossom – absent

Also attending:  Marti Lentz, Sergeant Stetler and  Amy K. – Daily Standard.

Motion  Searight   Second Gehle to accept the agenda as orders of the day.
Pontsler called for the question.  Searight =y, Gehle = y, Pontsler = y, Heitkamp = y.  Passed 4 yes.

Motion: Gehle.  Second Pontsler to accept the minutes from the
February 19, 2013  council meetings as presented.  Searight called for the question.   Gehle = y, Pontsler = y, Searight = y, Heitkamp = y.  Passed 4 yes.

Motion Pontsler to pay the bills in the amount of $4,237.16  –  Second Gehle
Bills included are normal operating expenses.  Searight called for the question.  Pontsler = y, Gehle = y, Searight = y. Heitkamp = y.  Passed 4 yes.

Motion Pontsler to accept the Mayors Court pay in of $177.00.  Second Gehle. Heitkamp called for the question.  Pontslet = y, Gehle = y, Heitkamp = y, Searight = y,  passed 4 yes.

ORDINANCE 01-13
AN ORDINACE LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR COSTS INCURRED FOR WASTE REMOVAL AT 507 W PEARL ST. ROCKFORD OHIO AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

1st reading – 02/19/13
2nd reading – 03/19/13

Sample Ordinance regarding unsafe buildings and establishing procedures for removal and repair.  There will be a committee meeting on March 26th at 7 pm.

Old Business

Request to fix the twisted signs in the village.  Request to fill pot holes in the alley by the flower shop.

New Business

Request from the Division of Liquor Control whether or not we would like to request a hearing regarding a new liquor license.  No hearing requested at this time.
