Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 7:30 pm at the Rockford Village Hall.

Motion Fox. Second Pontsler to accept the agenda as orders of the day with addition Resolution 05-17. Gehle called for the question. Fox = y, Pontsler = y, Gehle = y, Rutledge = y, Now = y. Passed 5 yes.

Council President noted receipt and review of Mayors Court pay in, bank reconciliation, and bank statement.
Community Announcements and events:

Golf cart drivers should be licensed drivers and Golf carts are not allowed to be driven down Main Street.
Warnings are being issued to properties that are not keeping grass mowed.
The Mobile Pantry -will be in Rockford the 1st and 3rd Tuesday afternoons
In the parking lot beside the Rockford Fire Department – 12:30 – 3 pm.
May 29th – Rockford Memorial Day:
The Rockford American Legion will be having a Chicken Dinner. Tickets are on sale now for $7. Tickets can be purchased at Barrys Family Market, the Rockford Carry Out and the American Legion. Chicken dinners will be served beginning at 11 am on May 29th behind the American Legion.
The Memorial Day parade will begin at approximately 10:30 am. The parade route will end at theAmerican Legion. The guest speaker for the service will be Mike Pontius.
Rockford Community Bible School – June 5th – 9th – 9 am – 11:30 am
New Horizons Community Church – Maker Fun Factory
Parkway Ministerial sponsoring – Summer Lunch in the Parks – Rockford and Mendon – beginning Wednesday June 14th and each consecutive Wednesdays through August 16th. Summer lunches provided by servants from various churches and held rain or shine. This is NOT a babysitting service.
Rockford Community Days – June 16 & 17
Car Show, Community Garage Sales, Parade, Fireworks, Music entertainment, Fox Family Ride
June 24th – Value Life – Benefit Ride – Addiction Rehabilitation Resources fundraiser. Shanes Park – Registration begins at 11 am – First bike out at noon. Live music, guest speakers – Family Friendly with something for everyone.

Motion Pontsler to pay bills as submitted in the amount of $ 16,501.96. Second Fox.. Now called for the question. Pontsler = y, Fox = y, Now = y, Gehle = y, Rutledge = y. Passed 5 yes.

There will be a 11U tournament at Shanes Park this weekend.

RESOLUTION 05-17
A RESOLUTION AMENDING ORDINANCE #10-10, THE RATES FOR OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND REPLACEMENT FOR WASTWATER SERVICE IN THE VILLAGE OF ROCKFORD, OHIO, REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING LEGISLATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Base sewer to increase 4.00 – beginning July 1, 2018. From $11.50 to $15.50
$48 per year.

AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY THAT LIES BETWEEN LOT 165 AND LOT 166 IN THE VILLAGE OF ROCKFORD, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Trailer Park – has been getting cleaned up – need update from Chief May at next meeting.
New Business
Judy brought the ordinance to review to sell the Pearl St. property. Lisa will email to council. Please review before next meeting.
Reminder that residents should not be parking on the sidewalks – cars or motorcycles.
