“CELINA – Mercer County has landed a quarter of a million dollar state grant to help accommodate a substantial business expansion that officials are calling a major boon for Rockford and the county.

RADC Raises Funds for New Splash Pad at Shanes Park
One of the newest RADC Projects, the new Splash Pad at Shanes Park in Rockford is a hit. The splash pad committee consists of Nancy Leighner, Sue Barna; Betty Belna; Bill Miller; Tom Rogers; Marty Lentz and Barb Pedroza. This addition to Shanes Park is for Rockford and surrounding community members to enjoy at no cost. This is a free activity for our community members to enjoy.
There is no admission fee. The Splash Pad is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Fund Raising Goal
RADC raised approximately $76,000 through donations and fund raising events for the new splash pad in Shanes Park.
RADC raised over $2500 at the March 13, 2011 Quarter Auction.
