2025 Business of the Year – Grains of Love

Congratulations –Grains of Love chosen as the Rockford Chamber of Commerce 2025 Business of the Year.

Megan is a former therapist specializing in children and trauma, but her true love language has always been baking and cooking for others.

Feeling a calling from God, she closed the doors on her therapy career and began Grains of Love, starting with just a single loaf of bread shared with a friend. What began as a simple act of love quickly grew, leading her to farmers markets an avenue she never imagined pursuing.

If you had asked her even a year ago, she would never have pictured opening a brick-and-mortar bakery. Along the way, she also enjoys sharing tips about the benefits of sourdough, combining her heart for service with her passion for nourishing others, one loaf at a time.
