Rockford Chamber of Commerce and Area Businesses To Bring Fall Fest to the Community

The Rockford Chamber of Commerce has announced a Fall Fest will come to Main Street Rockford on October 31, 2020. During the quarantine, Rockford Ohio Chamber President Marie Miller reached out to Main Street businesses with the idea to increase visibility, awareness and foot traffic to retail locations. The Main Street Rockford Event Planning Committee was formed and instantly got to work to bring a Fall Fest to the community to coincide with the trick-or-treat date. Working with local village officials and the Mercer County Health Department, the committee is excited to officially announce the plans for that day.

On October 31, 2020 starting at 10:00 am, community members are urged to support local businesses by shopping at the local. Many retailers will have specials going on that day. Other events include but are not limited to, Make and Take Pumpkin Craft at the Library @ 10:00 am – Sponsored by Homes at Ohio’s Edge Realty, The Rockford Carnegie Library and the Widows Group, Vendor Market along Main Street starting @ 10:00 am, Halloween Hustle 5K Walk/Run @ 10:30 am – Sponsored by Rock Solid Performance and Second Crossing, Chicken Dinners from the Rockford Carryout, Burgers and treats at New Horizons Church, Live Music at Second Crossing @ 12:00 pm, Rockford Pub Crawl (details forthcoming), Axe Throwing (adults only) at Second Crossing starting at 2:00 pm, Pre Trick-Or-Treat photo opportunities provided by Laura Putman Photography starting at 3:30 pm and Live Music and Halloween Party at Second Crossing starting at 7:00 pm.

Planning and launching an event during a global pandemic is not without trials and tribulations.
