Special Meeting Minutes: October 30, 2017

Council called to order by Mayor Amy Joseph on

Monday, October 30, 2017, at 7:30 pm at the Rockford

Village Hall in a Special Meeting of Council.

Invocation – Jeff Long

Pledge of Allegiance

Those present: Gehle, Rutledge, Fox, Pontsler, Now, Heitkamp

Also attending: Srgt Stetler and Tom Stankard of the Daily Standard.

Motion Fox.   Second Gehle to accept the agenda as orders of the day. Heitkamp called for the question. Fox = y, Gehle = y, Heitkamp = y, Rutledge = y, Pontsler = y, Now = y. Passed 6 yes.

Review purchase agreement from SL Meyer Properties to purchase real estate known as 506 W Bridge St., Rockford, OH 45882

Discussion:

Steve Meyer will be sending certified letters.   We will not be collecting rent.   The utilities need to be paid such as water and electric to continue services. Taxes will be pro-rated. Village will have to clean up what is left behind.

RESOLUTION #12-17

A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH SL MEYER PROPERTIES TO PURCHASE REAL ESTATE KNOWN AS 506 W BRIDGE ST, ROCKFORD, OH 45882, NAMING A SIGNATORY OFFICIAL AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Motion Rutledge. Second Now. Gehle called for the question. Rutledge = y, Now = y, Gehle = y, Fox = y, Pontsler = y, Heitkamp = y. Passed 6 yes.
