Chamber News – April 2025
Welcome !
Mayor Searight – brought up some community feedback regarding Spring Fling. There are some community members that would help with such events if they knew how to help. Mayor Searight will get us a list of potential helpers. Also will discuss with the Fire Department about having the event in conjunction with the Pancake Day. Spring Fling was canceled for 2025 but working on it returning for 2026. More discussion as we move forward.
Kylie —-Financial Report: Have applied for a debit card for our bank account.
Motion Lisa to make a $500 donation to Parkway Food Panty at the next meeting. Second Ami. Will take photo at the next meeting. Pastor Bill also asked about getting some help from the community for the Christmas Day Dinner — more information to be shared as it gets closer but start considering how we can help. Maybe set up, serving, clean up perhaps tie in with Christmas at the Park ?
Pastor Bill also mentioned to consider sponsoring a Rockford Team for the Mercer County Golf outing and for other local golf outings – Parkway Athletic in the Fall. Would be another way to support the community. Good idea!
