Chamber News – June 2024

Financial Report – Amanda Peel  –  Spring Fling after car show awards net = $1100.  Again – Thanks to Amy Noll for leading the Vendor Market. 

Committee agreed to  Community days sponsorship– 15 commercials on WSCM and Van Wert Community Band.  

Old Business:             

Congratulations —-Francesca Steinbrunner was awarded the Chamber Scholarship

Thanks to Ami and Kylie for doing the interviews!     Francesca agreed to be in the parade along with

SHELLEY and Luginbill Construction as Citizen and Business of the year. 😊

Members invited to attend the Rockford United Methodist Church ground breaking —  Saturday – June 15^th at 10 am.     W. Market St new site location.

September 11^th – SOCA meeting — The event will be at the Depot –  Chambers will share the cost of rental.   Each Chamber will pay for their own members lunch.  Boxed lunches wrap/chips – $9    coffee along with pop and  water and cookies  –     Next steps will be promotional poster and share with our members.      Check on timing for this event.

New Business:  

Amy Noll working on a Makers Market at Shanes Park – will be seeing more information regarding this new open air market.   Would be on Sundays 12- 3 pm.  Minimal cost.    Council reviewing guidelines and contract.

DATE SET — Rocktoberfest —-  Saturday – October 26^th  — timing ?    Bring all ideas to the next meeting !

Ideas to date – Tractor / bus shuttles to different events.

Children’s games in the alley between the Carry Out and the Library.  

Haunted Car Wash  – check with Shae.    

Spin the Wheel  (Ashley)

Fall Photo Booth – Shelley to check with Mr. Post

Mini Golf area / inflatables near RUMC  (Checked with Rob – ok to use the green space)

Pie in the Face with pumpkin pie whip cream
