Happy 200th Birthday Rockford ! We have monthly activities planned throughout the year ! Help us celebrate each month by supporting our local events. Several places to keep up to date – “Like” Village of Rockford Facebook page or rockfordohio.org – web site go to – Bicentennial Schedule of Events or the new Rockford Community Calendar !
The Village of Rockford thanks ODOT for the signage – Antoine Chene Memorial Bridge has been installed.
Mayor noted receipt and review of Mayors Court pay in, bank reconciliation, and bank statement.

Village Administrator’s Report – Aaron Temple
Vantage Career Center will be donating up to $2100 for a community project –
Thank you ! We will be working with them on some ideas.
Wabash Communications – continues to install fiber optic in the village. We will be meeting with them in the next week. Request to get an updated map of areas that are fiber ready.
Working on large park project – taking down the purple play set that has been there for over 25 years. Will be looking at new play set, spinner and a small climber with a soft surface. We are looking at colored astroturf.
We are finishing up on a 75% grant with the Ohio BWC for a hydro-excavator. Grant will be $40,000 – village cost $19,000 – would mostly be coming out of
Water and sewer funds. Council reviewed several quotes.

Finance Committee – Steve Gehle
Computer took a trip to Columbus for maintenance – no bills.

Stephanie Miller – (during meeting) dropped of new Tree City signs that will need to be installed.
Working on several more items for audit purposes – updated credit card, capital asset list. Will be coming up in the next few council meetings.

2 New businesses in town will be having Ribbon Cuttings – Second Crossing Brew Company and Betsey’s Bouquets. January 25th.
We are glad to welcome these new businesses to Rockford !!
