Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Rockford Village Hall.

Also attending: Jeff Long, Marti Lentz, and Amy K from the Daily Standard.
Motion Steiner. Second Dooley to accept the agenda as orders of the day. Pontlser called for the question. Steiner = y, Dooley = y, Pontsler = yHeitkamp = y. Passed 4 yes.
Motion: Pontsler. Second Dooley to accept the minutes from the
April 15 , 2014 council meetings as presented. Heitkamp called for the question.

Rockford Community Days Meeting – May 14th at 7 pm @ Shanes Park
Culpepper & Merriweather Circus coming to Rockford – May 29th
2 shows 5 pm and 7:30 pm. Pre-sale tickets ON SALE NOW at Barry’s Family Market, Rockford Carnegie Library, and the Rockford Village Hall
Rockford Community Days – June 13, 14, 15
Pre-sale inflatable wristbands will be sold at the same locations as the
Circus tickets – 1 month prior to the event.
Some permanent lighting will be installed at Shanes Park.
Village Administrator’s Report – Jeff Long
Give guys list of work and have them make a schedule. Keep them motivated. Need to document daily activities especially if something comes up.
Committee Reports
Finance Committee – Chris Heitkamp
Motion Steiner to pay the bills in the amount of $15,380.97. Second Pontsler. Dooley called for the question. Steiner =y, Pontsler = y, Dooley = y, Heitkamp = y. Passed 4 yes.
2015 Annual Budget due to the Auditor’s office by July 18th.
Service Committee: Greg Pontsler
Service Committee and Park Board Meeting – May 8th at 7 pm.
Safety Committee: Gary Fox – absent
Economic Development Committee: Gene Steiner
The committee will be meeting again before the next council meeting on May 20th at 7 pm.
RADC and the Economic Development Committee will meet together on May 19th at the Rockford Library.
Public Utilities Committee: Steve Gehle – absent
Rules Committee: John Dooley
ORDINANCE 01-14
AN ORDINANCE SPECIFING UNSAFE BUILDINGS AND ESTABLISHING PROCDURES FOR REMOVAL/REPAIR OF SAID BUILDINGS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Motion Pontsler. Second Heitkamp to approve the declaration of emergency passage. Steiner called for the question. Pontsler = y, Heitkamp = y, Steiner = y, Dooley = y. Passed 4 yes.
