Mayor’s Report and Correspondence:

Letter to Village Council and Village Employees:

Could not let it pass by without saying “THANK YOU” for the demolition of the property of West Street.  It was our home place and purchased in 1918 by my parents.  All of my brothers and sisters were born there.  Nothing is much more depressing, than to watch your home place become the worst property in town.

But thanks to the council, Jeff and his crew, that is now over.

I appreciate the persistence and hard work of Jeff and his crew.  The improvements have been many over the last ten years.  We look forward to our

200th birthday, and making Rockford a better place to live in.

Respectfully,

Dan Henkle

We have recently received a $1,000 donation from the RADC to the Rockford Radio station.  We are hoping to have a tower donated to the Village in the near future.  Some of the work to get the tower to Rockford is being donated.  There is some minimal costs that will be incurred.  This will save a $70 a month bill on a dry line to Belna’s tower.  The Radio Station will benefit the community.  Plans to have Parkway Sports announced.  There is a underwriter support program.  Please contact the Village Office if you would like to help.

Thank you to the RADC for your support !
