Village Administrator’s Report – Jeff Long
New building will be completed and ready to use in May. We will have
a ribbon cutting / open house – maybe along with a council meeting.
The box/chipper has been built for the truck. We should be ready to go with picking up brush as the weather permits. Materials to make the box cost $1200.
We received reimbursement from the State Parks grant of $67,000 of that amount we need to reimburse the Rec Board. We are checking to see if the funds can be
put into the sub division fund to help with that development. We have approx.. 32,00 of grant money to be used yet. This will be in walking paths and the new diamond.
Sewer plant – we are working on some design issues.
Need to contact the engineering firm to see where we are on the plat plans.
Columbia Street – we will need about $70,000 in engineering fees that will not be covered by the grants.

Reminder with mowing season coming up – by ordinance no grass clippings are to be in the streets. We need to keep the streets clean.
Safety Committee: Chris Heitkamp –

Action taken
Motion Gehle. Second Fox to abolish the Auxiliary Police department in reference to Senate Bill 11 and to increase the part time positions to 6 instead of 5. This will be at no cost to the village as there are already a set number of part time hours to be worked. Dooley called for the question. We will schedule a financial meeting on April 19th at 7 pm.
New Business
Chief May reports that The Mercer County Sheriff department has donated Narcan to the local agencies. We will give our officers some training on how to administer by May 1st. Narcan is used to reverse the effects of heroin overdose.
