Mayor gave Oath of Office to Luke Stephenson appointed to replace Dr. Means and Jessica Yoder to appointed to replace Steve Gehle.
Congratulations – we have a full council again.

Village Administrator’s Report – Aaron Temple
Curb painting continues. We will have part time for another 2 weeks.
Final concrete pour at park for playground today – turf will be installed next week.
Veterans memorial banners – will be put up after the playground project.
Still working on road patchwork.
Reminder grass and weed regulations includes businesses — please keep weeds trimmed.
Chief May asked about regulations regarding push back — if we get. Tickets will be issued to municipal court and we will get the court order to proceed with process.

Has been discussed before but since we have several new on council – The approval to give the Rockford Tax Administrator authority to certify delinquent tax payments to the Attorney General Office for collection.

Budget Commission meeting – August 6th — time – 10:30 am

Resolution 03-20
The Village of Rockford is requesting share of funds from the County Cornonavirus Relif Distribution Fund.
We now have more guidelines to follow and there is possibility that we can use the funds for budget shortfalls.

Need to have a council rep for the radio station — nominate Brad Now.

Shanes Crossing Subdivision – Lots for sale – 20% discount/ build through – December 2021. Haven’t not received any updates on the subdivision lately.

New Business:
Mayor – Maybe plant some trees and make some improvements to the East Market street mural area. Would like to see the mural completed soon. In the past – there was a fountain and a gazebo. Thinking of similar to the Decatur area.
Mayor – Rockford Chamber working on a Main Street Committee – hopefully can get something planned for this Fall.
Water shut offs — council approved to update the friendly reminder. The Village will return water services within 24 hours and only during business hours – we will not call out employees to turn water services back on.
Young – several dead trees at the park – need to be taken down.
Young – bathroom receptacles – covers need replaced.
Young – near sewer drain on Holly Lane — seems to be a sink hole starting.
