Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 7:30 pm at the Rockford Village Hall.

Motion Rutledge, Second Dooley to accept the agenda as orders of the day. Pontsler called for the question. Rutledge = y, Dooley = y, Pontsler = y, Heitkamp = y. Passed 4 yes.

Judy gave Oath of Office to Mayor Amy Joseph for the new term.
Mayor Joseph gave Oath of Office to Greg Pontsler for new Council term.
Thank you for your previous time serving the village and we look forward to a new year.
We have several areas we are looking for volunteers to serve:
We need 2 additional volunteers to serve on the tax board – (1 members 1 alternate).
We need 1 volunteer for the records commission.
Please call the village office at 419-363-3032 ext 1 if you are interested in serving on these boards.

January 19th meeting – Heather Hedrick from LACCA will be presenting information on Fair Housing.

Pontsler nominated John Dooley for Council President. Nominations were closed.
Motion Rutledge. Second Pontsler to elect John Dooley for Council President for 2016. Heitkamp called for the question. Rutledge = y, Pontsler = y, Heitkamp = y. Dooley – abstain. Motion passed.
New committees for 2016 – Please let Amy know which committees you are interested in so that we can review mission statement and set some goals.
Mayor would like committees to meet more frequently to talk, share ideas and get information to Jeff.
Council encourages the public to take more interest in the community by coming to meetings and getting involved.
Mayor and Council would like a report from Jeff of all the completed projects for 2015. They also would like updates on a regular basis of ongoing projects going forward.
Some discussion about RADC and their goals for community improvement.
Some discussion about the sub division. It’s going to happen, we are just taking it slow to make sure we do this right. Everything takes money !!
