Meeting Minutes: July 1, 2014 – Budget Hearing

2015 Budget Hearing called to order by Village Administrator, Jeff Long on

Tuesday,  July 1, 2014 at 7:15 pm at the Rockford Village Hall.

Present:  Amy Joseph, Jeff Long, Chris Heitkamp, John Dooley, Greg

Pontsler, Gene Steiner, Steve Gehle, Lisa Kuhn and Kathy Thompson of the

Daily Standard.

Budget presented as a prelimary budget that is the same as last year.  We will begin with 3rd quarter numbers to project the final 2015 Budget.  We will begin meeting in early of the 4th quarter to review information.

There is not much we can cut or add as funds are hanging in.  At this time we are not spending any of the carry over from last year.

We will begin working on the Park Grant project in the Fall.  We have information that needs to go to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for approval.

The income survey that was taken did not have enough of a response, so we will try again with new letter.  Letters should be going out sometime in August.

The information will help us qualify for a sewer grant of $500,000 and Street grant of $300,000.
