Update on Shanes Park – Playground and restrooms remain closed.
Splash pad is open. Shane Hall and Community Building will reopen with guidelines in place. Information will be posted at each location with specific information to be followed.

Village Administrator’s Report – Aaron Temple
We have hired 2 summer help employees. They started on Monday – working on getting caught up with mowing to start.
Dirt work finally completed at the WWTP.
There are plenty of kids looking for summer mowing jobs – there should be no reason lawns are not being mowed in a timely manner.

Joel Henkle – is Treasurer Second Gehle. Heitkamp called for the question.

Dr. Means suggested that maybe in the future a couple of ladies might volunteer for the Rec Board. Sometimes nice to get female input.
Pontsler – mentioned beside the Village Hall — needing some cleanup.
Safety Committee: Chris Heitkamp –
Motion Gehle approval to advertise taking sealed bids for a 2005 Ford Crown Vic – New Tires – 124,000+ miles. AS IS — Sealed bids will be opened at Council meeting June 16th. * Village reserves the right to decline bids if minimum bid is not met. Second Means. Young called for the question. Min bid $2,000. Gehle = y, Means = y, Young = y, Pontsler = y, Now = y, Heitkamp = y. Passed 6 yes.
Ad – Photo Star, Parkway Independent and Facebook.
Mayor – Since we are talking about Police —we are thankful and grateful that we have good relations with our police department and that we are not having to deal with big city riots that have been going on. Everything in this area has been peaceful. We are very fortunate.
Heitkamp to Temple — about spraying for bugs. Waiting on a part for the sprayer. So far it’s not been bad. But – yes we intend on spraying in the near future.
Economic Development Committee: Brad Now
Shanes Crossing Subdivision – Lots for sale – 20% discount/ build through – December 2021.
Will start contacting businesses – see how they are doing since everything is opening up.
Motion Pontsler – to approve the – 2020 Updated version of the Shanes Crossing Subdivision – Covenants and Restrictions. Second Heitkamp. Young called for the question. Pontsler = y, Heitkamp = y, Young = N, Gehle = y, Means = y. Now = N. Motion passes 4 to 2.

Update on replacing valve at WWTP —
Rules Committee: Steve Gehle
Motion – to approve the Property Maintenance Rules letter – to be effective June 3rd – 2020. Establishes steps to be taken in contacting property OWNER and the consequence of not maintaining properties in the Village.
