Marie Miller – Chamber President – called the meeting to order at 8 am on
November 12, 2015 at the Rockford Village Hall.
8 members were present.
October minutes were read and the financial report given.
Congratulations to Chatt Insurance Center for being selected as the November Business of the Month.
Thank you to the Rockford Fire Department for installing the sign and posting community events.
We had another successful banquet. Congratulations to His N Hers for being the Business of the Year. Congratulations to Joyce Emans for being the Citizen of the Year. Ideas for next year – Rockford Chamber in Action Slide Show. The need for someone specific to take pictures. Some personal contact to get people to attend the banquet. We had some businesses being recognized that didn’t attend.
Christmas at the Park – November 29th – 7 pm —-

Music Practice for Christmas at the Park this Saturday – Shanes Park – 9 am
Need to work on Membership 2016 information – again need a team of 3 or 4 people to contact personally all the businesses in area. We will be updating the membership book for 2016. Need to get Village, RADC, and Historical Society involved to help share expenses this time. Will be adding some Bi Centennial information to book.
Jamie gave some information on a new organization in the area called Three Percent. They are looking for ways to get involved and do some volunteering in our area to bring awareness of their organization.
The December meeting scheduled for December 10th will be held at Subway for meeting at 8 am. Members can purchase their own breakfast if they want.
Looking ahead to 2016 – Marie will be stepping down as Chamber President. We need nominations for President and Vice President. If you are interested in being on the ballot, please contact Lisa at lisa.kuhn@rockfordohio.org or 419-363-3032 ext 1.
Jane Cozad mentioned C & C Bible Fellowship will be holding a fundraiser on November 19th. She extended invitation to chamber members so they could see what C & C Bible Fellowship has to offer – it’s not just a summer camp.
Mary Beougher – mentioned the Holiday Extravaganza – November 27-29 Friday & Saturday – 10 am – 4 pm and Sunday 11 am – 2:30 pm at the Richardson Bretz Building. Christmas Trees, Wreathes, Holiday Décor Buy It Now and/or silent bids.
Larry Sielschott mention the WCSM Spotlight on Rockford will be held the week of December 7th. We will be promoting Christmas at the Park, Chamber membership, and congratulated Business and Citizen of the Year.
