Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 7:30 pm at the Rockford Village Hall.

Presentation to Sandy Schaffner – Plaque of appreciation – service and dedication to the Village.
Card states – Sandy — Saying THANK YOU isn’t enough to show our appreciation for the time and dedication you have given to make Shanes Park a truly unique place for families and friends to gather and make memories.
Your leadership for the past 15+ years is a great example of what it means
to ‘give back to your community’.!

- A special tree will be planted at Shanes Park in Sandy’s honor !
And a BIG thanks to Francis (Moose) for helping Sandy with park maintenance, making sure the restrooms were unlocked and locked up each day and for years taking care of the sign to welcome guests.
You both make a great team !!

Saturday – October 26th – Halloween – – 5 pm – 6:30 pm. Judging at the Firehouse at 7 pm. * new hours began last year
Village Administrator’s Report – Jeff Long
Say again – great thanks and appreciation to Sandy for her service at Shanes Park.
Marlene asked about Veterans Memorial update –
Jeff reports that this week the concrete interior will be poured and color stamped. The flag pole bases have been installed. Sidewalk will be poured to the north. Luginbill Construction will be donating and building a shelter house. The 1960’s monuments will be cleaned up. We intend on having Mercer Metal make some signage with park name – Hedges Park and Rockford Veterans Memorial. We will have a canoe launch in the back. All to be seeded by the end of the month.
Granite has been ordered for the monuments. There will be 5 – one of each branch of service with their logo stamped in the granite. The memorial will be dedicated next May at the Memorial day remembrance. Mike Schumm working on a fly over from the air force base. We have a fundraiser coming on
October 5 – please support! We are happy with the progress and looking forward to a huge crowd at our dedication.

Motion Heitkamp to approve the monthly financial reports – * note additional report
Cash Summary by Fund, Appropriations report, Revenue Report,
Budget vs Actual activity report, Bank reconciliation and comparison report for the water, sewer, and income tax.

Audit – 2017/2018 – starting tomorrow. Hopefully done by November.
Service Committee: Greg Pontsler
Soccer and Flag football will be starting up this fall.
Splash pad – will be shut down this week or early next week.

ORDINANCE 03-19
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF ROCKFORD, ACCEPTING THE PLAT OF HICKORY STREET DEDICATION TO THE VILLAGE OF ROCKFORD AS PER THE ATTACHED PLAT.
1ST reading = 09/03/19
Grand opening of Wellness 365 – was well attended.
Grand opening for Second Crossing Brew Co – will be by end of year.
The naming of the Bridge over the St. Mary’s – 118 North will be done by resolution once we have an agreement of the name. Currently taking suggestions. Can be emailed to lisa.kuhn@rockfordohio.org.
This will be done as another way to celebrate our community and Bicentennial.

The Rockford Eagles – will be having a watch party this Saturday – September 7th as the Buckeyes take on the Cincinnati Bearcats. Doors open at 10:30 – There will be 4 former Buckeyes at the meet and greet. Members and guests welcome.
